Dr Jumoke Oduwole, Honourable Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, has met the Nigeria House Davos team to align priorities ahead of Davos 2027. The engagement builds on the inaugural edition, which generated a pipeline of approximately US$2.4 billion, with talks focused on capital mobilisation, trade expansion and private-sector partnerships.

Abuja, Nigeria — July 30th, 2026

Ahead of the 57th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland (18–22 January 2027), the Honourable Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr Jumoke Oduwole, has held a strategic engagement with the Nigeria House Davos team to align national priorities and strengthen coordination ahead of Nigeria's return to the global forum.

The engagement builds on the success of Nigeria House Davos 2026, Nigeria's first sovereign national platform on the Davos Promenade, inaugurated by His Excellency, Senator Kashim Shettima, GCON, Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, who led Nigeria's delegation on behalf of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR. The inaugural edition convened global investors, development finance institutions, multinational corporations and business leaders, and generated a strategic investment pipeline of approximately US$2.4 billion across priority sectors, in support of the Renewed Hope Agenda.

The engagement centred on capital mobilisation, trade expansion and private-sector partnerships, as Nigeria prepares for a stronger and more commercially focused presence at Davos 2027.

Nigeria House Davos 2027 is delivered by the Nigeria Global Gateway Group (NGGG), the private-sector platform established following the inaugural edition,  in partnership with the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment (FMITI). The 2027 edition will continue to be guided by close coordination between FMITI, relevant government ministries and agencies, and private-sector partners, ensuring strategic oversight, policy alignment and measurable outcomes in investment attraction, trade promotion and international engagement.

Reflecting on the engagement, the Minister described it as "a productive engagement with the team from Nigeria House Davos, for discussions across capital mobilisation, trade expansion, and private-sector partnerships, aimed at turning global commitments into long-term value creation."

Nigeria House Davos serves as Nigeria's flagship engagement platform at the World Economic Forum, convening policymakers, investors, development partners, innovators and global business leaders. The 2027 edition will build on this foundation with a stronger emphasis on business development, investment facilitation and strategic partnerships, creating pathways that move from conversation to connection, and from connection to investment and commercial partnership.

Preparations for Nigeria House Davos 2027 are under way, with further announcements on programming, partnerships and participation to be made in the coming months.
